| How It Works
The Performing Provider
A Performing Provider, who is on-site with a patient, builds a Patient Episode of Care using SpaceCS TeleHomeCare. This Patient Episode can include:
- Automated Biometric Data including temperature, pulse, pulse oximetry, blood pressure, ECG, spirometry data, and glucometer readings.
- Episode-Level Free-Text and Notes.
- Image-Level Notes.
- Images including Annotation.
- Images from diagnostic cameras, ultrasound, and medical scopes.
- Scanned Documents and Images.
- Voice or E-Steth Audio Clips.
- Video Clips.
When finished, the Performing Provider sends the Patient Episode via a variety of IP solutions including Internet, secure VPN, or completely private IP WAN/LAN to the SpaceCS TeleMed Server which can be housed and maintained at your facility, or at the SpaceCS Corporate Office. Once an Episode has been sent to the server for the purpose of review, designated reviewers are automatically alerted to its presence via e-mail or alphanumeric pager.
The Reviewing Provider
In order to review an Episode, a Reviewer needs only a web browser and login privileges (login ID and password). Once logged into TeleMed Server, a Reviewing Provider can review a Patient Episode, as well as add new information such as:
- Episode-Level Free-Text and Notes.
- Image-Level Notes.
- Image Annotation.
- Once the review is complete, the Episode is uploaded back to the Server. The Performing Provider is alerted that the analysis is complete, and that the revised Patient Episode is available for review.
Should the need arise, the two providers can consult via a live connection through TeleMed Server video conferencing feature.
